How to revive dying plants
Taking care of plant is all important
Indoor plants are more complicated than we think. They can soothe allergies, listen to music, and studies show they can even feel pain. Choosing the right plant for you and keeping it alive is even more complicated. If your beloved houseplant seems to be on its last legs, don't give up. Try these six steps to revive your plant.
1. Transplant Your Plant
Use a high-quality houseplant potting mix to rejuvenate your plant, and choose a pot that is wider than the previous one. If your plant is dehydrated, add some water storage crystals.
2. Trim Your Plant
If the root is damaged, cut off the leaves. This will mean that the roots will not have to work as hard to support the large amount of foliage.
3. Move Your Plant
Does your plant get a lot of sunlight? Look for dry, brittle leaves and light or dark spots on the leaves. Alternatively, if your plant does not get enough light, the leaves will become small and yellow. Move your plant to a new home with better lighting conditions.
4. Feed Your Plant
Give your plant nutrients with a suitable fertilizer. Follow the directions carefully, as you don't want to give too much.
5. Clean up your plant
If your plant is being attacked by insects, clean the leaves with a damp cloth or mild soap solution.
